Jonathan Hall is a partner in the firm's Professional Negligence & Product Liability Defense Group. He has nearly 30 years of jury trial experience in cases involving wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, business and employment disputes, professional negligence and other high-exposure claims. He represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the Carolinas, Virginia and across the country, having taken dozens of cases to jury verdicts.
Jonathan is on the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and previously served as Chair of the organization’s Product Liability Section. He also is the immediate past chair of the Trial Technologies and Techniques Special Litigation Group of DRI’s Product Liability Section. He represents manufacturers and retailers of products and component parts in cases involving industrial equipment, sports equipment, durable medical equipment, automobiles and trucks, and many others. He also represents premises owners and product manufacturers in asbestos litigation.
Jonathan has represented intercollegiate athletic departments against lawsuits brought by injured athletes, has represented educators against allegations of alleged sex abuse and has represented employers in cases of alleged discrimination. He defends electric utilities in lawsuits ranging from contact injuries to reliability issues. His professional negligence experience includes defense verdicts for healthcare providers and attorneys in malpractice cases.
Jonathan is one of seven kids. He grew up playing sports, including college football. He is married and has three grown kids. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, the mountains and beaches of North Carolina, college sports, and golf.
