Parker Poe Attorneys Honored as The Best Lawyers in America and the "Legal Elite" in North Carolina

Twenty-two attorneys from Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP have been named to The Best Lawyers in America list for 2005-2006. In addition, sixteen Parker Poe attorneys have also been recognized among the "Legal Elite" by Business North Carolina magazine for 2005.

Griffin, III, Irvin W. Hankins, III, Ashley L. Hogewood, Jr., Max E. Justice, Terri T. McGaughey, Brent M. Milgrom, Jr., William G. Pappas, W. Edward Poe, Jr., J. William Porter, William L. Rikard, Jr., Roy L. Smart, III, Robert W. Spearman, David B. Summer, Jr., Mary C. Tolton, Donald P. Ubell, Edward W. Wellman, Jr. and W. Samuel Woodard.

These lawyers were selected as a result of a peer-review survey, in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The Best Lawyers in America list represents 30 law specialties in every state.

Attorneys named to Business North Carolina’s 2005 “Legal Elite” include David Neal Allen, Catharine B. Arrowood, John F. Baron, Jonathan M. Crotty, Paul S. Donohue, John F. Graybeal, Thomas N. Wellman, Jr.

These attorneys were selected as the best practitioners in their field through a mailed survey that was sent to more than 16,800 of their legal peers licensed and living in N.C. Less than three percent of the state’s attorneys made it on the 2005 “Legal Elite” list.
