Parker Poe has strengthened its Real Estate and Commercial Development Practice with the addition of three attorneys in the Charlotte office and one attorney in the Raleigh office. Glenn J. Reid and Ryan J. Smalley joined the firm as Special Counsel and Andrea B. Ricks joined the firm as an Associate in the Charlotte office. Deirdre T. Denechaud joined the firm as Special Counsel in the Raleigh office. This growth brings Parker Poe’s total number of Real Estate and Commercial Development attorneys to 28 firm wide.
Glenn Reid represents lenders, borrowers, buyers, sellers, developers, owners, tenants and landlords in connection with the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of real property. He has a decade of experience as in house counsel for Bank of America. Mr. Reid received his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983, his MA in 1978 and his BA in 1976 from Binghamton University.
Ryan Smalley focuses his practice on commercial real estate leasing and development. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Smalley worked as in house counsel for a national retailer. He received his JD from Wake Forest University in 1999 and his BA from Washington & Lee University.
Andi Ricks represents national lending institutions in financing transactions, including acquisition and development loans, term loans and construction loans. Ms. Ricks also has experience representing real estate developers in all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition, title, finance and leasing. She received her JD, cum laude from Wake Forest University in 2002 and her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992.
Deirdre Denechaud represents commercial developers in the acquisition, development, financing and sale of commercial real estate projects, including mixed-use communities, planned communities, office towers, apartment complexes, condominiums, convenience stores and golf courses. Ms. Denechaud also represents local, regional and national lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions and corporate lending transactions. She received her JD from the University of Georgia in 1998 and her BA from Washington & Lee University in 1995.
