Anthony Fox Elected to Local Roads Committee

Anthony Fox has been selected to a 21-member committee dedicated to finding consensus – and funding – for local roads in and around Charlotte.  Mr. Fox, a partner and member of the Board of Directors for Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, was selected by leaders from the Charlotte Chamber and city and county government.

Selections for the committee were split evenly among the chamber, city and county Committee members.  They were begin working later this month to discuss ways to improve roads throughout Mecklenburg County.  Their task will include prioritizing top local road needs, building consensus on funding options and advocating for local and state approval of proposed financing sources. 

Mr. Fox currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority and is the former general counsel for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.  He is also the Director and Vice Chair for the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority and the Director and Second Vice President for the North Carolina Association of Municipal Attorneys.

Mr. Fox has extensive experience advising municipalities, public sector clients, regulated industries and corporate clients on all aspects of municipal and governmental transactions including annexation, telecommunications, public finance, land use, transportation and administrative law.

Mr. Fox received his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University, his Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from North Carolina A & T State University.
