(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)Richard S. Glaser, Jr. was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. The College includes the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship is by invitation only and follows a lengthy and careful investigation of nominees. Less than one percent of attorneys in any given state are admitted to the College.

Mr. Glaser is a partner in the Litigation Department of Parker Poe and focuses his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. He has more than 20 years of experience in grand jury investigations, including major health care fraud, insurance fraud, public corruption, bankruptcy fraud and Securities and Exchange Commission-related cases.

Mr. Glaser spent more than 20 years in U.S. Attorneys’ offices around the country. While serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he was assigned to a variety of high profile investigations and prosecutions around the country. While serving in the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Glaser received a number of awards and commendations arising from his work which covered a wide variety of white collar crime. Since entering private practice, he has focused his practice on grand jury and internal investigations in the areas of health care and insurance fraud, corruption, bankruptcy fraud, securities fraud and matters arising under the antitrust laws.

The College strives to improve and to elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are selected from among those who customarily represent plaintiffs in civil cases and those who customarily represent defendants, those who prosecute people accused of crime and those who defend them. The College is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.

Mr. Glaser received his JD from West Virginia University and his BA from Duke University. He joins Catharine Arrowood, Robert Spearman and Harvey Cosper, partners at Parker Poe, as Fellows of the College.
