(RALEIGH, NC)–Charles E. Raynal IV, a Partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, was named to the Triangle Business Journal’s 2013 “40 Under 40” list, which recognizes young business leaders in the Triangle for contributions to their organizations and the community. The winners will be honored at an awards luncheon on May 16 and will be profiled in the publication’s May 17 print edition.
Mr. Raynal litigates business cases in federal and state courts, arbitrations and government agency proceedings. He has extensive experience representing public and private companies, including their directors and officers, in corporate governance and shareholder lawsuits alleging violations of federal and state securities laws.
Earlier this year, Mr. Raynal was named to The Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Law. He has also been named a North Carolina Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Business Litigation every year since 2009.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Raynal is very active in the local community. For more than five years, he has served as an attorney volunteer for the North Carolina Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program, a program that provides trained, independent advocates to represent the interests of abused and neglected children in the North Carolina court system. As a result of his work with GAL, Mr. Raynal decided to become involved with SAFEchild, an organization committed to eliminating child abuse in Wake County. He currently serves as the President of SAFEchild’s Board of Directors.
