(COLUMBIA, S.C.) — Economic development professionals with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP have helped the German-based company, xperion, secure a site for a new headquarters and manufacturing facility near Columbus, Ohio, that will bring more than $6.3 million in investment and 59 new jobs to that area.
xperion broke ground on November 14 on what will be a 50,000-square-foot facility for the manufacturing of composite automotive tanks for the compressed natural gas industry. The site is at the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath, Ohio, and is the company’s first U.S. manufacturing and sales facility.
“We helped them evaluate multiple sites across the Midwest, as well as coordinated the negotiation of a satisfactory lease and attractive incentives, so that xperion and its parent company, Avanco, can be assured that they chose the right location at the best terms available,” said Sam Moses, a Partner in Parker Poe’s Columbia office.
The company and its Parker Poe team worked with public and private economic developers in Ohio, including the City of Heath, GROW Licking Community Corporation, Columbus 2020, and JobsOhio on the project.
