Melanie Dubis Appointed to the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Raleigh, NC – Melanie Dubis, Partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, has been appointed to The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board for Directors for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. Melanie has served on the Chamber Education and Communications Committees, and chaired the 2014 Women’s Leadership Conference. 

As a versatile litigator, Melanie focuses on obtaining her clients’ desired results and handles commercial disputes at the trial and appellate level for corporate and individual clients in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, insurance, financial services and technology industries. She has experience in North Carolina state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Federal Circuits and in arbitration proceedings.

Melanie makes significant contributions to the community and appreciates that her clients benefit from doing business in a thriving region with a high quality of life.  One of the most important ways Melanie has contributed to the community is through her involvement in the Leandro school funding case for the past 20 years.  Melanie is driven by the fact that the matter has had a broad impact on the educational opportunities available to children across North Carolina, particularly at-risk children.

Melanie is also the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina and serves on the Board of Directors for Carolina Ballet.
