Erika Newsom Byrd Joins Parker Poe

Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe announces that Erika Byrd joins the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office as Special Counsel. Erika practices in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate law. She represents private companies in a variety of transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, private placements, equity and debt financings and corporate reorganizations. She also represents commercial lenders and borrowers in various financing transactions.

Erika also handles issues and developments for daily operations while advising clients on customer contracts, supply agreements, noncompetition agreements, leases, tax implications, corporate governance, and shareholder disputes.

Erika’s experience includes managing issues concerning the business and operational side of health care. She counsels physicians, physician groups, hospital systems, and ancillary providers on a variety of matters, including corporate formation and governance, employment matters, and service agreements.
