Charlotte, NC –  Parker Poe’s Greenville office celebrated its expansion to the Greenville market with an open house event on May 10 that drew government officials, business executives and members of the community. The firm, which has seven offices in the Carolinas and Georgia, expanded to Greenville in early 2016 to better serve clients in the fast-growing Upstate region.

Attorneys in the office represent international businesses, banks and local governments, as well as manufacturers and school districts, with a focus on legal practices that include public finance, tax, government matters, economic development, banking, corporate law, manufacturing and distribution. Greenville attorney Tyler Smith leads the firm’s New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) team, which assists borrowers in a federal program that incentivizes community development.

Partner Richard Few collaborates with Tyler on the NMTC team and also has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions, economic development and real estate. In addition, attorney Madison Felder advises clients on local, state and federal tax issues related to public finance transactions and economic development. Attorneys in the office are also dedicated to professional development, such as Erika Byrd, who is a graduate of Leadership Greenville, which helps cultivate informed, committed and qualified leaders for Greenville County. Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers have recognized several of the Greenville attorneys as among the best in their respective fields.

Parker Poe is also committed to meeting the region’s business needs serving as a Board Member of the Upstate SC Alliance, a public-private partnership that serves as the economic development organization for the 10-county area.

Parker Poe is located in the EP360 building, at 110 East Court Street, Suite 200. The 125,000-square-foot building includes 3,000 square feet of rooftop event space, where Parker Poe hosted the open house. The building possesses LEED silver certification.
