Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that the Triangle Business Journal has named Will Cannon and Jason Herndon among the 40 top business leaders under the age of 40 in the region. A panel of judges selected Will and Jason because of their impact on businesses, nonprofits, and the overall Triangle community.

Will and Jason are both partners in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office. Will co-leads the firm’s Education Industry Team and helps clients negotiate technology contracts and safeguard their intellectual property rights. Jason is one of the top construction lawyers at Parker Poe, advising his clients on contract and licensing issues while also regularly handling construction claims with millions of dollars at stake for his clients. Both Will and Jason represent a broad variety of major employers and well-known organizations in the Triangle.

They are both leaders in the state’s legal community as well. Jason chairs the North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section. He helped spearhead its pro bono efforts shortly after Hurricane Florence and Tropical Storm Michael, creating a program to answer North Carolinians’ questions related to damage from the storms and other construction law issues. Will serves on the leadership team of the NCBA’s Intellectual Property Law Section. Will also co-chairs the section’s Licensing Committee and is a recent co-chair of its Trademarks, Copyrights, and Trade Secrets Committee.

In addition, they are passionate about serving nonprofits in their communities. Will is on the board of directors for Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, which seeks to end hunger in the Triangle. He also maintains a robust pro bono practice through which he helps nonprofits in the Triangle with trademark protection and other intellectual property needs. Jason chairs the board of directors for the Lupus Foundation of America’s North Carolina Chapter. Jason also serves on the board of directors for Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh, where he chairs the Facilities Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee.

The Triangle Business Journal will recognize Jason and Will at its 40 Under 40 Awards dinner on June 27 in Raleigh. The TBJ will also profile them in its June 28 edition.
