Crystal Jones was profiled by the Arts & Science Council, which serves as the Office of Cultural Resources for the Charlotte area. Crystal said after having little access to arts and cultural experiences growing up in a small town in South Carolina, she was enchanted by plays at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center when she moved to Charlotte.  

“I thought back to ‘younger Crystal’ and think about all the little Crystals out there,” she said in the profile. “I want all the ‘little Crystals’ to have the access I didn’t.”

She has been a donor to the ASC since 2006, and she also has coordinated Parker Poe's ASC giving campaign. Through these efforts, she and Parker Poe help fund the ASC's mission of providing "Culture For All."
