Columbia, S.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Sidney Evering has joined the board of directors for Serve & Connect, a nonprofit working to create positive change through police and community partnerships.
Serve & Connect works directly with law enforcement, community stakeholders, and local leaders across South Carolina to improve neighborhoods challenged by poverty and crime, with a focus on building trust and fostering a shared sense of pride.
Sidney is deeply involved in the South Carolina community. He serves on the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Diversity Council and the board of directors for the South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center. He is a former board member of the South Carolina Bar Foundation and a former chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Diversity Committee. He is also a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and the Furman University Diversity Leaders' Initiative.
