Ellen W. Smith and Christian Torgrimson Chosen for Leadership Positions With Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta

Atlanta, Ga. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Ellen Smith and Christian Torgrimson have been chosen for leadership positions with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta. CREW Atlanta serves to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women.

Ellen has been voted president-elect of CREW Atlanta for 2021-2022. She has previously served on its board of directors and held several leadership roles, including treasurer, co-chair of its Finance and Governance Committee, and as a delegate to the global CREW Network. Along with a team of others, she received the 2016 CREW Network Economic and Community Improvement Award in connection with the Mercedes-Benz USA North American headquarters relocation to Sandy Springs, Georgia. At Parker Poe, Ellen advises clients in complex real estate transactions, navigates land use and zoning entitlement issues, and resolves disputes.

Christian has been appointed co-chair of CREW Leadership for 2021-2022. CREW Leadership provides an opportunity for a smaller group of CREW Atlanta members to shape strategies for their development as professionals and leaders. Christian is a graduate of its 2014 class and has won CREW’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. At Parker Poe, she advises commercial real estate clients, with a focus on eminent domain and condemnation.

Ellen and Christian share a passion for serving others in their communities. Ellen is also on the board of directors for The Atlanta Women's Foundation and the Georgia Wireless Association, as well as the Executive Committee for the Georgia State Bar’s Real Property Law Section, the Council for Quality Growth, and Select Cobb. Christian is on the advisory board of the national Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference, is a mentor for the Georgia Latino Law Foundation at GSU College of Law, is vice-chair of the Georgia Chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate, and was the founding president of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) Foundation.
