Brad Overcash represents clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including professional negligence defense, long-term care/nursing home defense, products liability, premises liability, patent litigation, commercial litigation, and general litigation. In addition, he provides counsel to business and health care clients beyond the area of litigation. Brad also represents insurance companies in coverage actions, bad faith cases, and a variety of other matters. He has experience representing a broad range of clients in insurance defense cases.
He has experience in creating, training, enforcing, and participating in the alternative dispute resolution process, including arbitration and mediation. He also focuses on economic development initiatives, counseling domestic and international companies throughout the process and representing them in incentives negotiations with local and state officials.
Brad is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina and Mississippi, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Fifth Circuits, and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation.
Before joining Parker Poe, he worked with a regional law firm practicing in the areas of medical malpractice defense, long-term care/nursing home defense, and general litigation. From 2011 to 2013, Brad served as the managing attorney for that firm’s North Carolina office.
