Latia Harvin concentrates her practice on public finance law. She is part of a team of attorneys who provide clients with responsive, thoughtful guidance as they navigate today's complicated municipal bond market.

Latia previously was a summer associate with Parker Poe, a legal extern with the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, and a certified student attorney with the Veterans Legal Clinic. She has also gained judicial insight as a legal assistant to the Honorable Clifton B. Newman, assisting with materials for his Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) profile and supporting mediation and arbitration preparation.

Latia earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina, where she focused her studies on employment law, corporate law, and other public-facing legal issues while earning multiple academic distinctions. While in law school, she was symposium editor for the South Carolina Law Review and earned CALI awards in employment discrimination law, individual employment law, business associations, professional responsibility, legal writing, and race, American society and law. She was also inducted into the Order of the Wig and Robe and received the Jackson Lewis Employment and Labor Law Award and the South Carolina Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel Award.

Latia earned her Bachelor of Science from Francis Marion University, where she graduated summa cum laude, received the Scholastic Achievement Award, and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi.
