Elizabeth Gibbes moderated a panel for international businesses on how the upcoming U.S. presidential election could affect their operations and legal landscapes. The panel at Parker Poe's office in Columbia was hosted in partnership with the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S. (GACC South), of which Parker Poe is a long-standing member. 

Elizabeth led a discussion exploring how the election outcome may influence economic policy, trade relations, regulatory frameworks, and the broader business environment. The panelists were:

• Jean Froehly, minister and head of economic and financial affairs, German Embassy in Washington, D.C.
• Allen Klump, vice president of government relations, South Carolina Manufacturing Alliance
• Kirk Randazzo, professor of political science, University of South Carolina

In addition to leading Parker Poe's International Practice, Elizabeth serves as the honorary consul of Germany for South Carolina and Georgia. The panel discussion was the latest example of Parker Poe's commitment to serving international businesses — including German companies — through legal counsel, business advice, and personal relationships. 

The firm's International Practice is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
