Washington, DC – Parker Poe has relocated to a vibrant, modern office in the Gallery Place–Chinatown neighborhood within Washington, DC. The office at 900 7th Street NW gives the law firm new ways to host and collaborate with clients, political leaders, and friends of the firm, including through receptions on a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Capitol, as well as industry-based events and continuing legal education (CLE) sessions in an expansive conference room.

Parker Poe's history in the District stretches back nearly two decades, when partner Bruce Thompson began building the Southeast business law firm's federal lobbying and government affairs practice through a satellite location. In 2019, the firm opened a full-service office in partnership with Leftwich LLC, a long-standing minority/woman-led firm in the nation’s capital. Since then, Parker Poe has more than tripled its attorneys in DC and grown its overall team here by more than 170%.

"We are making a statement in the DC market with this investment and the momentum we have built," Bruce said. "We are intentionally investing in a dynamic and rapidly developing neighborhood — where several of our clients, Capital One Arena, and other businesses are creating a destination for sports, entertainment, shopping, and dining. We are excited to bring clients and others together here to show off the beauty of our nation's capital."

"Our move is a game-changer in the sense that it positions us to continue growing in a really accelerated way," said Michael Kelley, the Washington, DC Office Development Partner. "The design better matches our culture, with great social and collaborative spaces, as well as an open layout with glass offices and natural light. It is already contributing to how we build camaraderie and connectivity — both in the office and in the surrounding area — and it will enable us to attract even more talent."

Parker Poe's growth has enhanced its ability to support clients in the District, on Capitol Hill, and across its footprint. The approximately 300-attorney firm also has offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, and it has clients across the country and around the globe.

The DC office has grown with attorneys and business professionals with significant experience advising clients on:

  • Business litigation and white-collar criminal defense
  • Federal regulations, compliance, and investigations
  • Government contracting
  • Government relations and lobbying
  • Investment funds, private equity, and other corporate transactions
  • Management consulting
  • Intellectual property
  • Real estate and commercial development
  • Sports and entertainment
  • Telecommunications

Parker Poe's attorneys and business professionals have advised on landmark stadium and infrastructure developments in the District and served in roles within the U.S. Justice Department, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Its DC presence includes PPC-Leftwich (management consulting) and Parker Poe Federal Strategies (federal government relations).

Parker Poe partnered with Akridge, Rand Construction, CBI Workplace Solutions, Gensler, Newmark, and C2C on its new office.
