Eli Underwood focuses his practice on corporate transactions and business law. Eli has particular experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including development agreements, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, inventory agreements, large equipment purchases and installations, manufacturing agreements, service agreements, supply and distribution agreements, and terms and conditions.
He further assists clients with internal documents, including operating agreements and bylaws. In addition, Eli dedicates a portion of his practice to transactions involving the purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and related mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Eli represents clients in all four U.S. time zones and overseas, as well as across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, education, energy, food and beverage, healthcare, hospitality, industrial production, life sciences, retail, and technology.
Eli began his professional career as a CPA. He spent four years in PwC's assurance practice before attending law school. Eli received his law degree from Washburn University and his LLM in taxation from the University of Florida. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Kansas.
In his free time, Eli enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, following college football and basketball, and working out.
