Elizabeth M. Crompton

Counsel

Elizabeth Crompton is a patent litigator who has significant experience resolving disputes before district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has handled complex patent litigation in the life sciences, technology, manufacturing, and consumer goods industries, with disputes ranging from small DNA molecules to giant construction vehicles.

Elizabeth also counsels clients on the infringement, validity, and enforceability of patents, as well as on filing and prosecuting patent applications to protect their inventions. She has particularly deep experience in the life sciences industry, including advising on FDA regulation related to pharmaceuticals and helping prepare and submit New Drug Applications (NDA) and Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA), and litigating patent infringement issues related to those applications. She has significant experience with the Hatch-Waxman Act and design patents as well.

In addition to her law degree from George Mason, Elizabeth earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Northwestern. Elizabeth's background allows her to evaluate and understand potential inventions, work with the inventors to best protect those inventions, and litigate to protect the resulting patents, or defend a client from allegations of infringement.
