Bob Stubbs has more than four decades of experience with commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. He has provided counsel on some of Atlanta’s highest-profile properties. His clients include commercial real estate sellers, purchasers, developers, and institutional lenders across the Southeast.
Clients rely on Bob to help negotiate office, retail, and industrial leases, as well as commercial real estate purchases, sales, and loans. Bob’s transaction work also includes helping his clients navigate complex issues involving property tax abatements with development authorities, due diligence for public offerings, and acquisitions and sales of real estate assets (office, retail, multifamily, industrial and assisted living).
Bob was general counsel for Prime Bancshares and Laing Properties. He then served as in-house regional counsel for Trizec Properties and Tishman Speyer. He negotiated office and retail leases in-house for all properties owned by Tishman Speyer in the southeastern United States, including notable Atlanta properties such as Palisades Office Park, One Alliance Center, Two Alliance Center, Interstate North Office Park, and Midtown Plaza, as well as notable Miami property Courvoisier Centre.
He also has deep experience advising on construction loans, reviewing construction and architectural contracts, drafting covenants and easements, and analyzing and negotiating zoning with applicable government entities.
A Georgia native, Bob earned his law degree from the University of Georgia and his undergraduate degree in history from Davidson College. Bob served in the United States Army as a first lieutenant and received a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.
