Charleston, SC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Gibbes has been selected for this year’s Diversity Leaders Initiative program, part of the Riley Institute at Furman University.

Elizabeth was selected after a rigorous application and review process and was nominated by program alumni. Participants are accepted for their interest and commitment to the program and their capacity to create impact within their organizations and communities.

The 5-month program will teach each member of the class about the skills and perspectives necessary to leverage diversity in their organizations in ways that drive social and economic progress in South Carolina. This year’s 18th Lowcountry class includes other attorneys, C-suite executives, school and health care administrators, and community leaders.

Culminating with a capstone project that partners with a nonprofit organization, Elizabeth will be named a Riley Fellow upon graduation. Parker Poe’s Amy Allen Hinson graduated as a Riley Fellow in 2020.

The Riley Institute at Furman University provides a wide range of leaders with tools to advance equity and drive economic and social progress in South Carolina.
