Adam Neil led a discussion about the impact on businesses from recent tax cases from South Carolina appellate courts and the Administrative Law Court during a tax law seminar at the South Carolina Bar Convention in Columbia. 

Joined by the chief legal officer of the South Carolina Department of Revenue, Adam’s presentation also provided updates on recent tax legislation and Department of Revenue most impactful advisory opinions. Their presentation covered a full year of key tax cases, which touched on issues such as combined unitary reporting, whether internet retailers are subject to sales tax, and evaluating what income-producing activities will subject an out-of-state business to state income tax.
