Parker Poe Announces New Partners for 2026

Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe has elected 12 new partners for 2026. Emily Hart Breece and Shayla Wright in Atlanta; Anna-Bryce Hobson in Charleston; Robert Botkin, Michael Chen, Adrianne Chillemi, and Jennifer Jackson in Charlotte; and Matthew Carpenter, Corri Hopkins, Daniel Knight, Carlos Manzano, and Deb Stern in Raleigh were voted into the firm’s partnership.

Emily Hart Breece represents clients in a range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, landlord and tenant commercial leasing, easements, and complex titles. She advises both private and public sector clients across asset classes including retail, office, industrial/manufacturing, automotive, and educational and governmental facilities.

Shayla Wright advises businesses across a range of industries to help resolve complex commercial disputes. She has litigated breach of contract, fraud, shareholder disputes, and noncompetition agreements in state and federal court and arbitration. She also guides colleges and student-athletes on name, image, and likeness (NIL) and revenue-sharing issues.

Anna-Bryce Hobson focuses her practice on construction law and litigation, advising a range of clients that include general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. She assists clients on project management, pre-litigation dispute resolution, and payment disputes, as well as construction-related bankruptcy and insolvency issues.

Robert Botkin helps clients of all sizes, from Fortune 50 companies to startups, navigate their legal needs tied to privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning. Clients turn to him across industries, including technology, retail, automotive, and finance.

Michael Chen concentrates his practice on international business, economic development, and immigration. He represents U.S. and foreign-owned companies, including clients in the biomedical, manufacturing and distribution, commercial sales, information technology, hospitality, and sports and entertainment industries.

Adrianne Chillemi represents her clients in high stakes construction law disputes in trial courts, on appeal, in mediation, and in arbitration. In addition, her deep litigation experience bolsters her work as a strategic business advisor, helping clients navigate risk and make sound decisions long before a conflict reaches the courtroom.

Jennifer Jackson focuses her practice on commercial leasing, real estate, banking securitization, and loan servicing. In her banking practice, she represents financial institutions in connection with their loan servicing platforms with respect to commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loans.

Matthew Carpenter focuses his practice on land use and commercial real estate, advising developers throughout the life cycle of a project, from the initial planning and zoning stage through property acquisition and the issuance of building permits.

Corri Hopkins represents Fortune 500 corporations, investors, financial institutions, small businesses, healthcare providers, and individuals in complex corporate litigation in state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on commercial business disputes, including class actions and other business torts.

Daniel Knight is an attorney who represents a diverse group of construction industry professionals in both construction-related litigation and transactions. His clients have included private developers, national homebuilders, architects, engineers, land surveyors, general contractors, and local government units.

Carlos Manzano is a public finance attorney who guides local governments, financial institutions, and educational organizations through complex municipal finance transactions. He utilizes his deep knowledge of North Carolina law and federal regulations to deliver the strategic, tailored advice needed at every stage of the financing process.

Deb Stern is a healthcare lawyer who represents healthcare entities and providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices across all their litigation, administrative proceedings, and regulatory needs. She also navigates her clients through the challenging regulatory framework and advises them on risk mitigation.
